OP Tecnology ("we", "us", "our") operates Mock Exams ("the Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our exam simulator.

• Full Name — optional, used for display within the Platform
• Password — stored as a cryptographic hash (SHA-256), never in plain text
• Avatar — optional profile picture uploaded by the user

We automatically collect:

• Exam History: questions answered, scores, pass/fail status, and dates
• Activity Log: login events, profile updates, admin actions
• IP Address: collected for security and activity logging purposes
• User Agent: browser and device information for analytics

1.3 Preference Data

We store your preferences (language, theme, tutorial completion status) in your account to personalize your experience across sessions.

1.4 Local Storage (Browser)

The Platform uses browser localStorage and cookies to:

• Maintain your login session (authentication token)
• Remember your language and theme preferences
• Track tutorial completion status

These are essential for the Platform to function. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings, but doing so will log you out.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

• Authentication: verifying your identity when you log in
• Personalization: remembering your language, theme, and progress
• Performance Tracking: displaying your exam history, scores, and statistics
• Admin Operations: managing users, permissions, and platform configuration

3. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored securely on our hosting provider's servers (Hostinger). We implement the following safeguards:

• Passwords are hashed using SHA-256 — we never store plain-text passwords
• Authentication uses randomly generated tokens, not session cookies
• Database access is restricted to localhost connections only
• All API communication is over HTTPS (TLS encryption)

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

• Account data: for as long as your account is active
• Exam history & activity logs: retained indefinitely for reference
• Inactive accounts: may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity
• Authentication tokens: expire after 30 days ("Remember me") or at session end

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Limited data sharing occurs only with:

• Hostinger (our hosting provider) — your data is stored on their servers under standard hosting agreements. See Hostinger's Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OP Tecnology, our users, or others.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses the following third-party services:

• Bootstrap (CDN via jsDelivr) — UI framework; loads from CDN and does not share user data with us
• Hostinger — web hosting and database infrastructure

These services have their own privacy policies and data processing practices. We encourage you to review them.

8. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies and local storage:

• Essential cookies: authentication tokens and session management (required for the Platform to function)
• Preference storage: language, theme, tutorial status (localStorage, not cookies)

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. The Platform does not integrate with Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking services.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Hostinger infrastructure). If you access the Platform from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
